Monmouth Photographic Club is a small group of enthusiastic photographers who are always looking for ways to improve their photography.
The club embraces a wide spectrum of experience from beginners to members with many years experience.
Some members have their own darkroom facilities and recently there has been an increasing interest in computers and digital imaging. We are keen to share our experience and help one another to improve and enjoy our photography.
We meet every Friday from early September to Easter, the programme broadly covers the following topics:-
- Talks and demonstrations on a variety of photographic topics.
- Visits by experienced photographers to talk and exhibit their work as slides or prints.
- Member's evenings when members share their experience or participate in assessing each others work. Member's decide on the content and topics.
- Competitions are held monthly and provide an opportunity to see each others work and see how your own work is improving.
- Exhibitions are held occasionally for our work to be seen by a much wider audience. About 2,800 people visited our last exhibition in 2001.
Our website is a brief introduction to the club. It contains our current programme and a gallery of some member's images. As the year progresses the site will contain competition winning images and the latest news about future events.
Please contact our Secretary for more information or if you would like to visit us. You will be most welcome.
